Partner Technical Specialists- Partner (PTS-Ps) are the technical experts and advisors to IBM sales teams, Business Partners, and Value-Added Distributors. As a PTS-P, you understand the partner’s business requirements, technical requirements, and competitive landscape. You apply your business and technical insights to build, and maintain partner relationships, leveraging IBM Storage hardware and software into client-valued solutions and ensure client readiness for production release. Your Role and Responsibilities

  • IBM Storage PTS-Ps are responsible for assessing, enabling, and building IBM partner’s technical capabilities to support pre-sales and customer engagements.
  • This role will work with their sales counterparts to help ensure our business partner and distributor accounts have everything needed to best leverage and use the latest Storage hardware and software.
  • The PTS-P should have general knowledge across the Storage technology portfolio so they can help to grow how Storage is used at our business partner/client accounts.
  • The PTS-P should be able to help lead technical discussions or perform demos on Storage solutions and understand how the IBM solutions should be positioned to win against the competition.
  • The PTS-P will work closely with their sales peers to manage and build relationships within the partner and distributor accounts and work to ensure partner revenue targets are met.
  • The PTS-P should demonstrate thought leadership for the technical sales aspects of the Storage solutions to increase Business Partner and Value-Added Distributor sales.
