Come be a part of the team.Job DescriptionAs a key member of our Live Production team, you will support the Live Entertainment department’s mandate to provide superior client service and event execution. You will assist the department in the successful technical coordination and safe supervision of live events, helping ensure all events are presented in an advantageous manner. Your enthusiasm, your developing leadership and your commitment to department improvement will set you apart. Assist the Production Manager for any live event technical set-up support as assigned.Assist clients, promoters, and other show and event providers and producers with event technical, stagehand union and site safety compliance issues and concerns at the Scotiabank Arena, Coca-Cola Coliseum and BMO Field on event by event basis, and maintain priorities of: employee and patron safety, building integrity, improving ticket availability within prescribed guidelines, appropriate crew conduct and work ethic, help maintain regulatory compliance from fire and life-safety, workplace safety, and engineering perspectives, and other priorities as described from time to time.Facilitate advantageous event execution through thoroughness and accuracy, timely communiqués, and appropriate supervision & administration.Review event site technical plans using AutoCAD for PC program.Assist event providers with local IATSE union agreement issues, crew supervision.Act as the venue event-crew safety liaison on an event-by-event basis.Determine event production requirements; utilize internal and/or source and procure external resources, assign staff, and resolve production schedules.Review event technical cost estimates after consultation with Event Coordinators, and/or their clients – promoters, producers, and MLSE department contacts – exercising accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to operational policies/procedures. Distribute event production estimates and expense summaries, plus event activation and execution details within the Live Production department, ensuring accurate communication on all event technical aspects and their effects.Determine, place orders for, and confirm internal & external work orders & rental supply orders are complete and signed off;Develop a keen understanding of all union collective bargaining agreements in place.Provide assistance to other areas as requested.QualificationsNote: Before reviewing the qualifications listed below, we want you to know that we understand you may not meet all the qualifications described and have other relevant expertise and experience.
