As an Account Representative IV on our Capacity Services team, you’ll support critical day-to-day operations-managing nominations, confirmations, allocations, and imbalance resolutions across USGTM and USGTM pipelines and storage facilities. Your sharp analytical skills will help extract and assess gas volume, contracting, imbalance, and revenue data to advise key teams in Marketing, Business Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance.

This role is pivotal to Enbridge’s operations-reporting directly to the Manager of Capacity Services and playing a critical part in keeping our infrastructure flowing smoothly. What you will do:

  • Assists high-profile, complex and/or significant customers as they use contracted services from each of the pipeline and storage facilities. Includes responding to customer inquiries related to:
    • Nominations, scheduling, confirmations, allocations, curtailment, critical and noncritical notices, OBA’s, imbalances, and storage injections and withdrawals
    • Invoices (volumetric component)
    • Tariff interpretation
    • EBB access
    • Interpretation of operational policies and procedures
  • Subject matter authority of all facets of the Capacity Services job requirements
  • Contributes to the maintenance of the physical operational integrity of the pipeline through proactive daily management, daily monitoring and daily, monthly and historical reconciliation of cash out and in-kind balances
  • Analyzes, prioritizes and addresses transportation and related customer problems/issues with other members of Capacity Services as well as Marketing, Volume Management, Scheduling and other interfacing departments, as appropriate. Has ultimate responsibility to ensure that customer receives timely resolution of all discrepancies involving pipeline services
  • Coordinates activities with Gas Control/Marketing/Business Development/Engineering/Capacity Planning/Scheduling/Volume Management with respect to customer contract usage, operational issues, outages and maintenance to communicate related information to customers
  • Works with customers on developing and implementing both transportation and storage utilization strategies
  • Identify system LINK issues and help troubleshoot with LINK staff
  • Performs internal controls associated with the operational process in order to ensure timely, accurate revenue information
  • Develops and maintains an awareness of customers’ business and contributes ideas for commercial opportunities
  • Consults with the LINK Systems group with respect to the development of flowing gas related LINK system enhancements in support of new projects of acquisitions
  • Prepares ad-hoc queries and reports and analyzes associated information with respect to gas volume and imbalance in support of requests from groups such as Marketing/Business Development/Accounting/Regulatory Affairs/Regulatory Compliance in support of initiatives such as analyst meetings, potential acquisitions/divestitures, customer issues, rate cases, FERC audits and the development of strategic plans
  • Applies knowledge of the FERC Gas Tariff and other service agreements to customers system utilization and ensures daily compliance with the current regulatory environment
  • Reviews and provides feedback to Marketing/Business Development on proposed commercial transactions to provide operational insights
  • Participates in the maintenance of appropriate FERC and SOX control documentation and remediates issues uncovered as a result of audits or reviews
  • Provides guidance and training to Capacity Services and Volume Management Account Representatives I, II and III, as necessary
  • Represents Enbridge at industry functions and attends customer meetings
  • Participates in special projects as needed

Who you are:

You have:

  • 8+ years of position relevant experience along with a bachelor’s degree in a related subject area with business, accounting and engineering being preferred areas
  • An understanding of pipeline and storage commercial operations and value drivers along with experience in gas control, scheduling, volume management, regulatory, marketing or another applicable experience area
  • The ability to develop collaborative working relationships with other departments and external parties to achieve goals while also being able to exhibit outstanding decision-making and leadership skills

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in a moderately noisy office environment with routine overtime and the ability to work on-call for one week approximately every 4 weeks. In the event of a hurricane, the team will be relocated to Austin, TX for the duration of the storm

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
