The Senior Manager, Management Reporting, is responsible for developing complex reports and dashboards while optimizing and automating reporting workflows. Primarily supporting the Product business within Mackenzie, this role ensures reporting efficiency, accuracy, and scalability by managing the reporting environment, utilizing automation tools, and adhering to data governance standards. In addition to technical expertise, the Senior Manager plays a key role in managing the service relationship between the Reporting Hub and business stakeholders within MI. This role ensures that reporting services align with business needs, collaborates with the business to clarify requirements, reviews report utilization and performance within the business domain, and identifies opportunities to automate and streamline reports. This role also supports governance forums and contributes to broader governance efforts within the reporting environment. The successful candidate’s responsibilities include: Report Development and Optimization Develop, maintain, and enhance complex reports and dashboards based on business requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all reporting outputs.Enhance report usability by improving layout, visualization techniques, and user experience.Develop communications and artefacts that effectively orient users to the data and reports. Leverage automation tools to streamline report generation and delivery. Reporting Service ManagementManage intake processes for reporting requests, working closely with business and technical leaders to define metrics and standardize reporting requirements that drive consistency Conduct periodic reviews of report utilization and health for reports within the domain Advises business stakeholders on report design and rationalization opportunities to streamline reporting efforts Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor for all reporting needs Support Reporting Hub governance forums by preparing materials and content to drive recommendations, presenting key insights, and facilitating discussions on reporting standardization and best practicesTechnical Oversight & Direction Provide technical guidance and oversight to Analysts working on reporting projects ensuring they have the necessary support and direction to deliver high-quality, business-aligned reporting solutionsWork closely with MI data office pods to define and prioritize data automation requirements that enable efficient and scalable report automationProduct & Other related Database Maintenance Work closely with the data office team to ensure new product information is added accurately and existing records are regularly updatedImplement checks to maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistencyApply naming conventions, product classifications, and metadata taggingManage user permissions and ensure compliance with security policiesTroubleshoot data discrepancies, missing records, and system errors The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in carrying out these responsibilities:MBA, CFA and/or accounting designation5+ years of experience in financial reporting, management reporting or a related fieldWealth management or financial services experienceStrong understanding of business operations, key performance metrics, and data-driven decision-makingExperience managing reporting requests, prioritizing work, and ensuring alignment with business needsAnalyzes problems, gathers stakeholder input, and evaluates alternatives to make informed reporting decisionsAbility to build and maintain relationships with business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor for reporting needsProficiency in reporting software and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)Experience designing and implementing self-serve BI environments to empower business usersExperience in reporting governance, data quality management, and driving consistency across reporting practicesAbility to streamline reporting workflows, improve efficiency, and support automation initiativesUnderstanding of data structures, reporting methodologies, and the ability to provide guidance to Analysts Please visit our career page by clicking on the following link: https://www.mackenzieinvestments.com/en/careers We thank all applicants for their interest in Mackenzie Investments; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
