Be a team; we are united to drive collective impact to achieve our goals. The Role: The Senior Event Planner is a key contributor responsible for driving the design, execution, and continuous enhancement of large-scale events and conferences that elevate client and advisor engagement. This role ensures flawless delivery through strategic planning, rigorous operational oversight, and innovative problem-solving. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events & Experience, the Senior Event Planner plays a critical role in executing the event strategy that reinforce Mackenzie Investments’ brand presence and delivers exceptional experiences across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead the event design and execution of large-scale events and conferences that strengthen Mackenzie Investments’ brand and business objectives. Manage end-to-end event delivery—from concept to onsite execution and post-event analysis—ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and compliance standards. Negotiate and oversee vendor partnerships to optimize value and mitigate risk. Support speaker strategy by sourcing and securing high-impact thought leaders. Collaborate with sales teams to integrate communications, budgets, and operational plans that enable field success. Apply innovative solutions to resolve challenges and maintain continuity under pressure. Leverage post-event insights to inform continuous improvement and share best practices. Govern workflows, production schedules, and budgets to ensure operational excellence. Act as a key onsite leader, ensuring seamless execution and superior participant experience. Support broader Events & Experience initiatives through additional responsibilities as required. Qualifications: Post-secondary degree or equivalent specialization in Event Planning. Minimum 3 years of experience delivering complex, large-scale events. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project). Exceptional project management skills, with proven ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated expertise in budgeting and financial management; experience in regulated industries preferred. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; proven ability to work effectively in team environments. Demonstrated capability to execute high-impact events with precision and professionalism. Energetic, results-driven, and adaptable to changing demands. Professional presence and adherence to corporate standards of attire. Solid understanding of the mutual fund industry and compliance regulations related to events. Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.Benefits:  COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION & RECOGNITION: competitive base salary, performance-weighted bonus, education/career support, option to join Employee Share Purchase Plan with employer matching component. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS: competitive health and dental coverage; employer sponsored coverage for you and your family.  RETIREMENT SAVINGS PROGRAMS: voluntary Group RRSP enrolment with employer matching component. INSURANCE: employer sponsored short-term disability. WORK LIFE BALANCE: paid volunteer days, competitive time off including 10 wellness days off, WorkPerks discount program, hybrid & flex work arrangements. INCLUSIVE CULTURE AND DIVERSITY: living our core values: Be a Team, Be Accountable, Be Better, engaging with community through Business Resource Groups (BRG communities are volunteer employee-led groups formed around a common interest, identity, or background).  IGM is a diverse workplace committed to doing business inclusively – this starts with having a representative workforce!
