What You’ll Do
As a Regional Engineer, you will take initiative in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient station operations by managing multiple projects and solving complex technical challenges. You will work cross‑functionally with internal teams, field staff, and external stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions that balance safety, cost, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage station-related projects, including replacement stations, station modifications, Customer Connections station support, and Station Operations initiatives.

Conduct technical analysis using risk assessment principles (station failure, pipeline failure, material failures, repair vs. replace scenarios, operating issues, etc.).

Support Operations frontline field staff by reviewing customer station configurations, coordinating deviation approvals with Stations Engineering, and managing the submission of redline drawings.

Prepare, complete, and/or coordinate Project Execution Permits (PEPs) to support timely project execution.

Responsible for working with internal/external partners (Engineering, municipalities, developers, etc) to complete load analysis on pipelines and to execute crossing agreements.

Develop and facilitate capital budget submissions, including project scoping, cost estimates, and business justification.

Work closely with Distribution Optimization Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, and Stations Engineering to identify issues, recommend improvements, and support continuous optimization.

Organize and prioritize multiple concurrent projects while ensuring milestones, documentation, and stakeholder communications are clearly managed.
Who You Are
You are a motivated, organized, and solutions-oriented engineer who takes ownership of your work and communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Civil preferred) from a recognized university or a similar technical degree (ex. C. Tech).

Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience related to oil & gas, pipelines, or energy infrastructure.

Registered as an Engineering Intern (EIT) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).

Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze technical problems, and develop practical solutions.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet defined timelines.

High level of initiative and accountability, with the confidence to work independently while knowing when to escalate.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document technical information and explain concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Digital literacy and familiarity with computer applications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence outcomes without formal authority.
Working Conditions

This role includes a combination of office and field work (approximately 80% office / 20% field).

A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are required.

Following training and qualification, participation in emergency standby/on-call coverage (after hours and evenings) may be required.
For Ontario Candidates: the salary range is between $72,000- $90,000 per annum.
