As a Senior Advisor of Government Relations, you’ll support advocacy and external engagement for key projects and operations along the U.S. Gulf Coast with a focus in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas—building trusted relationships with public officials, industry associations, and local stakeholders.

You’ll report to the Manager of Government Relations and partner across our Liquids, Gas Transmission and Renewable Power business units as well as Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability (PACS) to advance Enbridge’s growth projects.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and drive advocacy and external engagement strategies that inform public officials and shape policy and regulatory outcomes for major projects and operations.
  • Represent the company with state government officials and entities across our U.S. Gulf Coast footprint on current operations and future initiatives.
  • Coordinate outreach to local government officials in partnership with the stakeholder engagement and project team to ensure consistent, proactive and timely communication.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with state and local officials, agencies, and staff to foster trust and accountability.
  • Engage with industry and trade associations and community groups, serving as a visible, credible voice for the company’s priorities to advance advocacy strategies and project objectives
  • Collaborate with PACS and external consultants, identifying opportunities to position and engage our business and aligning efforts across business units.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of progressive public affairs, government affairs, campaign management or government‑related work.
  • An exceptional communicator: Outstanding written, verbal, facilitation, and public‑speaking skills.
  • A structured, solution‑oriented operator: You manage complex projects, deliver on time, and adapt quickly to changing advocacy priorities.
  • Compliance‑savvy: Comfortable navigating government compliance requirements with rigor and care.
  • Self‑starter with keen political instincts: You work independently, read the room, and act with high ethical standards.
  • Inclusive collaborator: You value inclusion, and differences of thought—and you’re able to travel up to 50%.

Physical requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
