We are seeking a Specialist II, Compliance to support our Ethics & Compliance function through the management of internal investigations and enterprise compliance initiatives. What You Will Do:

  • Lead and conduct internal investigations into allegations of ethics and compliance-related misconduct, ensuring timely, objective, and thorough outcomes.

  • Plan, organize, and execute investigations, including evidence review, stakeholder interviews, fact-finding, and preparation of detailed investigation reports.

  • Draft clear, concise, and evidence-based reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for leadership review.

  • Prepare and present board-level reporting on significant Helpline concerns and communicate complex investigation findings to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Legal, Internal Audit, Labor Relations, and other key partners to ensure consistency and quality in investigation processes.

  • Lead and support complex ethics and compliance investigations, while developing and enhancing investigation processes, programs, and controls that mitigate organizational risk and promote responsible business practices.

  • Provide enterprise-wide guidance and subject matter expertise on ethics, compliance, fraud prevention, conflicts of interest, policy interpretation, and other governance-related matters.

  • Develop and deliver compliance training, communications, and awareness initiatives that support the effective implementation of policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical business conduct standards.

  • Identify, develop, coordinate and implement practices, procedures and programs to support Company investigations aimed to reduce and limit Company risk and liability.

  • Drive proactive compliance and fraud monitoring initiatives, support investigation team objectives, and ensure timely reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement of compliance programs and investigative activities.

Who You Are:

  • University degree in a related discipline with 7+ years of directly related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Proven experience conducting workplace, ethics, compliance, or regulatory investigations in a complex organizational environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining alignment across functions.

  • Skilled at building trust, credibility, and strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

  • High proficiency with standard business software and technology tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Working knowledge of ethics, compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks; professional certifications and knowledge of the pipeline industry are considered assets.

Preferred:

  • Professional credentials or certifications considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the pipeline business and regulatory environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based role with occasional travel to Enbridge locations or third-party sites, including potential international travel.

Salary Ranges from $120,000 – $165,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

Salary Ranges from $120,000 – $165,000 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity. Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
