The Manager, Advisor Recruitment Experience (ARE) is a senior leader and subject matter expert accountable for delivering a best-in-class, compliant, and strategically aligned recruitment and onboarding experience for advisor practices transitioning to IG across Canada.

 

Working in partnership with senior leaders, this role serves as the primary relationship manager throughout the recruitment lifecycle and the advisor’s first 90 days, leading complex candidate evaluations, due diligence and risk assessments, onboarding strategy, and recruitment operations. The Manager acts as a trusted partner to Business Development, Regional Vice-Presidents (RVPs), Regional Offices, Compliance, Licensing, and key enterprise stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of recruiting and onboarding activities.

 

This position plays a critical role in advancing IG’s growth strategy by balancing exceptional candidate experience, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and business priorities. The role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex situations while driving strategic initiatives, continuous process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

 

Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Experience & Recruitment Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value advisor practices, providing a seamless experience throughout the recruitment, transition and onboarding lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with the Business Development Team, Regional Vice-Presidents (RVPs), Regional Offices, and key business stakeholders to assess and onboard experienced advisor practices that align with IG’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Oversee due diligence and risk assessment activities, identifying potential regulatory, operational, financial an reputational risks.
  • Manage complex recruitment opportunities through each stage of the approval and onboarding process, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and timely execution.
  • Develop and deliver customized offer documentation and recruitment proposals that reflect the unique needs and value of each advisor practice.
  • Lead and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process for advisor practices, partnering with key stakeholders across the organization, maintaining oversight of critical milestones and deliverables, and ensuring accountability for timely execution of all requirements.
  • Deliver a high-touch, consultative experience that builds trust, strengthens relationships, and enhances IG’s reputation among prospective high-value advisor practices.

 

Recruitment Operations & Data Management

  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of recruiting and onboarding records, systems and documentation ensuring adherence to audit and record retention standards.
  • Establish and monitor operational controls, workflows, and service standards to identify risks, improve efficiency, and support a seamless advisor recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate stakeholder deliverables and maintain visibility to critical milestones, ensuring accountability, timely execution, and successful outcomes across all phases of recruitment and onboarding.

 

 

Onboarding Readiness & Business Integration

  • Deliver onboarding and transition presentations as part of the Advisor Tour, providing advisor practices with a comprehensive understanding of IG’s onboarding process, operational support model, systems, and resources to support a successful launch.
  • Gather, validate, and oversee the completion of critical onboarding requirements, ensuring all business, operational, regulatory, and client transition activities are executed effectively and on schedule.
  • Provide oversight and leadership during onboarding by managing escalated issues, coordinating stakeholder responses, and driving resolution of critical onboarding dependencies.

 

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to streamline recruitment and onboarding activities, eliminating redundancies and enhancing operational effectiveness across the end-to-end advisor transition journey.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures, process maps, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.
  • Support change management activities associated with new processes, systems, and business initiatives.
  • Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members to strengthen operational effectiveness.

 

Strategic Projects & Team Contribution

  • Lead or contribute to strategic projects aligned with Advisor Enablement & Experience objectives.
  • Support business planning activities and recruitment-related initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups and project teams.
  • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Support employee engagement, culture-building, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and team development activities.

 

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, operations, financial services, or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes.
  • Experience in due diligence, risk assessment, and compliance-related reviews.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, and business systems.
  • Experience leading projects, process improvement, automation, or operational excellence initiatives is an asset.
  • Financial services, wealth management, insurance, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with advisor candidates, field leaders, and business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $77,500 – $105,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.  

 

 

As this position is posted in Montréal, Toronto and Winnipeg, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English.
