We are seeking an Advisor who will prepare, administer and maintain confirmations for Enbridge’s gas utility business (Enbridge Ohio and Questar Gas Company) in accordance with internal procedures, risk controls and audit requirements

The incumbent will have solid understanding, and ability to provide key support to the Specialists, Contracts for the preparation & execution of commodity contracts as well as the timely maintenance of all contracts according to department procedures.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead Contract/System integration role for Enbridge’s USUI Contract Administration integration work, including review of active deals for present and future deliveries, development of confirmation templates, and detailed uploading of documentation into SharePoint and Contract Admin Shared drives

  • Accountable for providing support in the preparation, administration and maintenance of physical transaction confirmations for Crude, NGL, Renewable Natural Gas and Natural Gas for Tidal Energy Marketing(CAN & US), in accordance with internal procedures, risk controls and audit requirements.

  • Support Advisor Contract Administration in preparing documents for execution, including acquiring contract setup and approvals and recording of documents in OpenLink and SharePoint and initiates and monitors processes to increase efficiencies

  • Demonstrate leadership with OpenLink/trading system IT projects and use effective communication and social skills to identify issues core to the Contract Admin team and ensure consistency with corporate contracts and risk policies

  • Apply judgment with Legal input to ensure required contractual language is included in counterparty confirmations. Work in conjunction with Contract Specialists once final language has been negotiated and approved

  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, Risk Policy and Contracts Policy

Who You Are:

  • You possess a University degree or college diploma in Business, Finance or Legal or relevant work experience

  • Minimum 4 years experience with coordinating oil & gas commodity contracts or confirmations

  • Excellent attention to detail. Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self motivated and highly accountable to self and others while being able to take initiative and show strong work ethic. Collaborative and willing to contribute to the overall Team’s success

  • Strong PC skills including OpenLink, Excel, SharePoint, Word and Powerpoint

  • Proficiency in understanding of legal contractual language

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
