This Process Assistant II role performs a variety of routine administrative and clerical tasks that support the Apex Service Department. We require knowledge in the area of assignment as well as applicable department and company policies and procedures to accomplish the processing of information, documents or materials to include:
This position reports to North Carolina’s Apex Operations Center located in Apex, North Carolina.
What You Will Do:
- Setting up comprehensive records and files.
- Preparing standard reports and charts.
- Compiling data from various sources and forms.
- Contacting other departments to obtain information and reconcile routine discrepancies.
- Performing calculations involving complicated arithmetic, etc.
- Maintains record of documents processed.
- Informs departments of missing or incorrect data and makes minor corrections.
- Utilizes computer systems and/or other related equipment to record, store and retrieve information.
- Compiles regular and special reports using established formats and procedures.
- Performs basic clerical duties that are highly structured according to established procedures.
Who You Are:
- 2+ years general office experience.
- Basic understanding of the operation of computerized and function-related equipment to record, store and retrieve information.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and resources.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient personal computer skills.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Works under immediate supervision.
Preferred:
• Proficient skills using spreadsheet and word processing applications and SAP.
• Basic knowledge of company and department procedures.
• Bilingual (Spanish) candidates.
Education Requirements:
Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) is required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):
Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
Mental Requirements (Both field & office) include but are not limited to:
Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
