In this role, you will be accountable for identifying, developing and leading the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities with the operations team. You will provide technical support for utilization work and provide contractor oversight for the completion of that work ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation within the Northern Ontario region with quality and the customer in mind.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical and procedural support for utilization and operations work which includes onsite support for escalated calls, initial customer partner concern issue resolution, quality assurance non-conformance resolution, incident review support including TSSA interactions.

  • Oversee vendor/contractor management program activities including onboarding, oversight, and invoice tracking.

  • Act as a key liaison between external and internal stakeholders regarding utilization code (B149) questions, requirements, and infractions/non compliances.

  • Participate in the standby/on-call rotation for emergency response and provide field leadership during emergencies as assigned.

  • Act as a Supervisor during absences.

  • Act as local lead for Company initiatives as required.

Who you are:

You will have the following education and experience:

  • Related university degree and a minimum of 6 years’ experience OR 8 + years of previous field operations experience. An equivalent mix of formal education and experience may be considered.

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to effectively facilitate information sessions with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to coordinate and balance multiple tasks and to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Digital literacy and experience with the use of PC based applications (engineering applications, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).

  • A TSSA Gas Technician license may be considered an asset.

Working Conditions

This role may require ~25% travel within Northern Ontario. A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required. The incumbent will also possess rotational on-call duties in a safety sensitive environment.
