What you will do:

  • Identify, negotiate, communicate with potential suppliers, solicits quotes, technical documentation, and relevant terms and conditions
  • Acquires standard materials and services from suppliers at the lowest cost, with consideration to quality, reliability and need
  • Negotiates, awards, and implements contracts and purchase orders
  • Communicates with field and project personnel, to evaluate compliance with purchase contracts
  • Resolves problems regarding material delivery, price discrepancies, quality issues, invoice discrepancies, and/or adjustments

Who you are:

You have:

  • 1-3 years of related supply chain experience in addition to a bachelor’s degree. A combination of education and proven related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

You can:

  • Show general knowledge of business and contract law, accounting principles, financial analysis along with materials and services delivery fulfillment processes  
  • Skills within project management, management, computer proficiency, forecasting and trend analysis in addition to value and cost analysis

You are:

  • An excellent written and verbal communicator with effective influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Able to apply analytical skills to diverse issues, manage multiple priorities to meet time constraints while using sound business judgment along with anticipating, understanding, and responding to customer needs

The following are considered assets:

  • A Bachelor’s degree within supply chain or business administration

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in typical office environment 90% of the time with up to 10% Travel for site visits

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
