DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: Strategic Solutions & Operational Oversight teams directly service clients and advisors or support teams that do. Our team collaborates with internal & external stakeholders to implement strategic solutions and deliver a great client experience. We are a strategic area within Wealth Management Operations & Enterprise Contact Centers (WMO & ECC) responsible for delivering and ensuring consistent and seamless service delivery, operational oversight to support proactively identifying and managing risk, as well as, support strategic initiatives, and drive the continuous improvement framework & methodology across WMO & ECC.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Operational Solutions plays a strategic role within WMO & ECC, acting as the operational business lead to support the development and implementation of forward-thinking strategies that enhance operational efficiency. This role requires broad business knowledge, awareness of industry trends, and regulatory expertise to address complex challenges and opportunities. Success depends on building strong partnerships across WMO, ECC and the organization to ensure alignment and effective execution of initiatives. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential for engaging stakeholders at all levels and fostering cross-functional teamwork.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Act as the operational business lead providing subject matter expertise, cross-functional knowledge and innovative solutions on strategic initiatives and product launches.
- Provide guidance and direction on operational services to teams and leadership within CSO and business partners across the organization.
- Analyze the impact of business and technical requirements on divisional and corporate initiatives and engage leaders on the impact to the various business units. Understand the upstream and downstream impacts in the holistic client and advisor experience.,
- Support new technology and automation initiatives with deep business knowledge.
- Participate as a divisional business expert representative across work streams as required.
- Manage changes to business operations and participate in department/divisional/corporate projects and initiatives.
- Continuously challenge the status quo and coordinate data measurement analysis and resulting initiatives.
- Remaining abreast of regulatory requirements and changes and determining operational impact ensuring compliance to regulatory obligations while integrating risk management best practices.
- Communicate with leadership across CSO and the organization, share executive summary updates and hold regular meetings to provide status updates on project deliverables.
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships across CSO and the broader organization by understanding their needs, providing personalized support, and proactively addressing their challenges
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, business analysis, or a related field of study
- 5+ years in a high growth operational and client-support environment, ideally in financial services, wealth management, or a similar environment.
- In-depth understanding of products and services offered by IG Wealth Management and in the industry, along with operational processes/procedures. Experience with securities and managed portfolios would be considered an asset.
- Must be self-motivated, proactive and demonstrate solid decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate exemplary interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across various mediums (in-person, phone, and virtually).
- Advanced problem solving and organization skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to think outside the box to develop innovative solutions.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Solid understanding of the change process in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in preparing executive updates and preparing presentations.
- Experience with project management would be considered an asset.
- Successful completion of IFIC and CSC would also be considered an asset.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $69,500 – $90,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
