The Role
The Senior Manager, Digital Product Owner is a strategic leader who champions the value and adoption of IG Wealth Management’s vendor-hosted, 3rd party digital financial planning tools—including CapIntel, interVal, and Clear Estate. As the primary business representative, this role ensures these solutions consistently reflect the IG Wealth Management brand and deliver a seamless, high-impact digital experience for both clients and advisors. Operating within a matrixed environment, the Senior Manager collaborates closely with stakeholders across Sales, Product, Financial Planning, Marketing, Compliance, Technology, and other business teams to drive platform utilization and deliver measurable business value. This leader also serves as the voice of the advisor, partnering with Infrastructure Services to maximize the benefits and integration opportunities of key enterprise solutions such as Microsoft Office 365 and Citrix.  

 

This position supports the VP, Chief Product Owner in shaping digital strategy, overseeing the product lifecycle, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement—anchored in Agile methodologies. The ultimate goal is to advance IG Wealth Management’s vision of inspiring financial confidence through exceptional digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP, Chief Product Owner, AVP, Product Owner (Advisor Portal), internal stakeholders, and external vendors to define and evolve the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, advisor/client needs, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Financial Planning teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives, brand strategy, and experience standards for advisors and clients.
  • Align product initiatives to OKRs, define KPIs, and manage the product backlog—balancing business value, client experience, feasibility, and quality while navigating trade-offs.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders and business partners to gather feedback, align on product direction, and ensure delivery meets business and customer needs.
  • Drive continuous delivery of business value by coordinating across functions and operating effectively in a matrixed environment.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on success metrics for digital products; leverage data and user insights to identify opportunities for improvement and iterate on solutions.
  • Develop and test hypotheses for new features that address user needs and support business objectives, including client acquisition. 
  • Translate complex ideas and requirements into clear, actionable user stories and product development initiatives.
  • Lead the Agile delivery team and champion Agile methodologies, facilitating best practices in digital product management and supporting Agile ceremonies.
  • Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the product team.

Reporting
This role reports to the AVP, Product Owner (Advisor Portal). 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning, wealth, investment and/or asset management (preferably within financial services or a regulated environment).  
  • Vendor management and/or contract negotiation experience (asset).
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or related field; CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, digital product management best practices, and experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proven ability to deliver successful digital products from ideation to launch, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data and user insights to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across functions and with vendors.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable requirements for diverse stakeholders.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and innovative, with a passion for digital transformation and user experience.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $87,000 – $124,500 , which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
