The Role:

Our Human Resources department at IGM is looking to add a dynamic Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition to our team. Working with the Business Groups and the Human Resources Business Partner that they support, the Senior Specialist will be responsible for full life cycle recruitment in order to source and hire top talent into the organization. In addition to hiring for current needs, the Senior Specialist will also be responsible for building a pipeline of talent for the future.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Provide full cycle recruitment across multiple divisions of the organizations, including sourcing, networking, screening, interviewing, evaluating and providing recommendations to hiring managers, co-ordinating reference and background checks and negotiating offers
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers and Candidates
  • Partners with clients and HR Business Partners by providing expert advice around talent acquisition best practices and candidate selection while managing Hiring Managers’ expectations throughout the process
  • Learn and understand the different complex business areas along with the values and culture of the organizations
  • Ensures managers are always well-informed on process status and kept aware of all potential opportunities or risks in a timely manner.
  • Source and build a talent pipeline for core business roles using proactive sourcing strategies
  • Manages all search activities and candidates through the use of our Applicant Tracking Systems (iCIMS and SuccessFactors) and ensuring that minimum standards are followed
  • Track metrics such as cost per hire and time to hire
  • Manage relationships with third party search agencies
  • Source candidates through a variety of avenues including direct recruitment and / or networking with passive candidates as well as resume mining, database searching, and ensuring an active presence on all appropriate job boards and social media
  • Active participant in various recruitment initiatives with a focus supporting DEI initiatives in order to build a diverse talent pipeline
  • Assist with large recruitment campaigns where needed
  • Ensure consistent and positive candidate experience while being a talent ambassador for the IGM companies

The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in accomplishing these functions:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in full cycle bilingual recruitment dealing with high volumes in a fast-paced environment preferably in the capital markets or investment management and across multiple business areas
  • University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent work experience (a Human Resources specialization an asset)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver creative and innovative candidate sourcing techniques, including a track record of sourcing passive diverse candidates
  • Strong understanding of Human Rights legislation and best practices in unconscious bias hiring while presenting diverse candidates that align with our DEI initiatives
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (iCIMS and SuccessFactors) is an asset
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter in order to actively source candidates. Other social media recruitment experience would be an asset
  • Highly organized and able to deal with multiple demands from various stakeholders with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and level of accuracy
  • Ability to influence and strong decision making and negotiation skills
  • Customer focused with a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ethic, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral in French and in English

 

As this position is posted in Montréal, Toronto and Winnipeg, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English.
