We are looking for a new Jet Pilot to be part of our team! Here’s what you will do:

  • To act as PIC and, as such, be ultimately responsible for the operation of Enbridge’s corporate jet aircraft.

  • Responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft and all people on board.

  • Will have the final authority for the disposition of the aircraft while in command.

  • Will have the authority for the delegation of duties and responsibilities to other crew members in accordance with procedures outlined in the Enbridge Flight Operations Manual.

  • Regardless of schedules, plans or apparent urgency, the operation of the aircraft to which you are entrusted will not commence any flight until the PIC , after agreement with the remaining crew, is satisfied that the flight can be conducted safely and legally with regard to the mechanical condition of the aircraft, weight and balance and safety of its passengers throughout the duration of the flight, and due regard for expected weather conditions.

  • Be thoroughly familiar with the duties of PIC as outlined in the Company Flight Operations Manual.

  • Be familiar with and ensure that Company aircraft operates in compliance with all regulations as required for flights conducted.  This may include but is not limited to Transport Canada, CBAA, FAA, EASA, ICAO and all Custom’s policies and procedures for which trips are to be conducted.

  • Participate in personal development training opportunities as required by regulation and to enhance job performance skills.

  • To participate in and comply with the current Company Safety Management System practices to maintain the highest degree of safety for all Enbridge employees and assets affected.

  • Liaise with government, third party organizations and peers to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory issues.

  • Participate in the development of Enbridge Aviation policies and procedures such as safety guidelines, operations, Emission Trading Schemes (ETS), security and response plans.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Company personnel to meet departmental and personal objectives effectively and efficiently.

  • Complete assigned administrative duties such as dispatch, record keeping, revisions, aircraft database updating, manual development, updating Company programs or directives, commissary purchasing, phone or email responses, etc.

  • Be willing to act in the capacity of Training Pilot, Safety Officer, or person responsible for overseeing International Operations.

  • Mentoring and monitoring of junior pilots or contract pilots when required.

  • To participate in matters pertaining to maintenance as specified in the Company Operations Manual and the Enbridge Falcon Minimum Equipment List.

  • To participate in training as specified in the Company Flight Operations Manual.

  • To maintain pilot training records as found in the Enbridge personal Pilot Training binders and FOS.

  • Assist Manager, Aviation / Chief Pilot as duties are delegated.

Who you are:

  • Able to work in Canada as per Federal, Provincial and Company Labour requirements and regulations.

  • No previous personal or work history that would preclude trans-border operations.

  • Valid Canadian passport.

  • Valid Canadian, Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot’s License

  • 3500 hours minimum

  • Ability and willingness to assume responsibility and work unsupervised as job requirements dictate.

Preferred:

  • Corporate jet experience is an asset

  • Typed on similar equipment is an asset

  • 2000 hour minimum Jet time.

Working Conditions:

Day and night VFR / IFR operations in all weather conditions.  Duty times range up to 14 hours or as specified in the Enbridge Flight Operations Manual.  Flights may be conducted at any time, 24-7; however, the Chief Pilot, working in conjunction with the Flight Operations Coordinator, will supervise crew scheduling to ensure that the work available is assigned to pilots in a manner as to permit planning as far in advance as possible so as not to exceed limitations specified in the Company Flight Operations Manual.  All skills and techniques could be called upon at once and require flawless performance.  Requires substantial skill and quick, accurate decision-making ability in highly stressful situations.  Good interpersonal and communications skills.  Ability to work well with others under stressful conditions.  Willingness to assist in passenger meal preparations
