Are you new in your supply chain management career and have an interest in processing purchase order requests for materials and services and procuring them in a timely and cost-effective manner?

What You Will Do:

Review purchase requisitions for goods/services and complete purchase orders based on requirements, ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements.

Interact with suppliers, contractors, project managers, engineers and other partners regarding requisition requirements, purchasing needs, approvals, order status and follow-up.

Complete Request for Quote processes and release reviewed and approved purchase orders and change orders to suppliers.

Build and manage relationships with suppliers and internal partners.
Who You Are:
-
Related university degree and limited previous experience.
-
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required.

Basic understanding of supply chain concepts including an understanding of the current market conditions, key suppliers, industry knowledge and materials or services being procured.

Customer service focused and ability to balance multiple priorities.

Knowledge of MS Office suite and Oracle Cloud a plus.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
