As a Measurement Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate natural gas measurement, supporting design and standards development, and driving continuous improvement. You will collaborate across departments, lead the introduction of new technologies, and represent the company on industry committees.

What you will do:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on natural gas measurement regulations and ensure compliance with Measurement Canada.

  • Support installation design and configuration for accurate measurement.

  • Develop, revise, and maintain company standards and procedures in line with guidelines and laws.

  • Lead the introduction and evaluation of new measurement devices and technologies.

  • Provide technical support to Field Operations, Asset Management, Safety, Legal, and other teams.

  • Lead and support task groups focused on incidents, technical issues, and continuous improvement.

  • Participate in and lead industry committees and associations (AGA, CGA, PRCI, GTI, etc.).

  • Develop programs for reliable operations and asset upgrades.

  • Evaluate, test, and approve new measurement equipment.

  • Support departmental projects and initiatives as required.

Who you are:

  • An Engineering degree along with 6+ years of directly related experience.

  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) is a requirement.

  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence without authority.

  • Experience working with diverse partners.

  • Knowledge of legal metrology standards and Measurement Canada regulations.

  • Understanding of measurement uncertainties and traceability.

  • Applied knowledge of standards (AGA 7, 8, 9; ANSI 109 series).

  • Comfort working in demanding environments and leading teams.

  • Willing to learn and conduct research to stay at the forefront of measurement technology.

Working Conditions:

  • Office based.

  • Occasional travel may be required within the province, across Canada and US.
