What You Will Do:

  • Prepare facility nominations, update draft shipper balances and connect with internal stakeholders on volume efficiency at shipper facilities. 

  • Prepare terminal shipper statements; which include equalization and volume amounts during the settlement process.

  • Provide direction to accounting for project buy/sell agreements in preparation for monthly settlement.

  • Be a key liaison with Marketing Accounting to ensure production splits, project costs and expenses are accurately invoiced.

  • Update systems with LSD’s, battery codes and equalization data for project models.

  • Monitor and update WTI, FX, differentials.

  • Verify payment, research and resolve imbalances and manage queries with producers.
     

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Business-related degree from a recognized institution.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • 2+ years of previous experience; prior exposure to the energy marketing industry would be an asset (i.e. contracts, scheduling, risk management, deal structuring).

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills,

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the standard MS Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Candidate must be a results driven team player and self-starter who is able to explore, present and build consensus for analysis and ideas.

  • Able to develop effective and collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.

  • Requires attention to detail and comfort with numbers.
     

Preferred:

Experience building Excel models is an asset.
 

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment. Direct supervision will be available to the extent required.

  • Primary tools are telephone and computer systems based.
