We have an exciting opportunity to join the Gas Control team as a Senior Analyst, Gas Control Permitting!
This role is responsible for the formal administration of all components of Gas Distribution and Storage (GDS) Project Execution Permits (PEP) primarily relating to distribution systems. The role provides permit applicant support to ensure all elements of the permit are filled out accurately and stakeholders are also engaged appropriately prior to field work commencement. Permit elements of note include ensuring that concurrent projects are identified so that the Gas Control Team can support mitigating hydraulic conflicts to maintain system operational safety and reliability.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for active management of GDS Project Execution Permits (PEPs) including being primary point of contact for permit applicants, engaging stakeholders for consultation and approvals, issuance of approved/valid permits,

  • Responsible for reviewing accuracy of information in permits and ensuring supporting information has been accurately included such as valve inspection approvals.

  • Responsible for identification of concurrent planned work activity with potential to impact system hydraulics.

  • Responsible for records management relating to work permits.

  • Actively represent Gas Control in stakeholder consultations and support delivering presentations to various groups

Who You Are:

  • Related college or university degree and two ‐plus years’ experience OR four‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication skills.

  • Knowledge of planning, design & records, operation & maintenance, and/or construction policies and procedures.

  • Proficiency with WAMS, e-GIS, Maximo, and MS Office products including MS Excel, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Power BI.

  • Regional Operations or field work experience in natural gas industry preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • This is an office-based role.

  • Limited travel within Ontario for team connections.
