What you will do:

  • Develop and implement thermal mitigations to increase system throughput, enhance operability, and/or reduce operating costs.

    • Prioritization of thermal constraints in need of assessment.

    • Internal scoping for thermal constraints/initiatives.

    • Technical management of external engineering consultants for thermal-related analysis.

    • Coordination of internal collaborators for the review of thermal-related deliverables and subsequent formation of proposed mitigations.

  • Ensure alignment and effective communication between internal stakeholders regarding thermal-related activities.

  • Develop and make recommendations on sophisticated thermal challenges involving multiple assets to drive risk informed decision-making.

  • Support and contribute to the ongoing development of the LP thermal management program to establish repeatable thermal analysis, clear and actionable thermal risk management, and consolidated temperature-related information.

Who you are:

Required:

  • Engineering degree.

  • Six or more years of proven experience.

  • Must be registered or qualify to register as a P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta with APEGA.

Preferred

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the Liquids Pipeline system and internal stakeholders.

  • Outstanding teammate who is accountable, dependable, self-motivated, and curious about the root of it all (including ways of working and procedural status quos).

  • Highly developed analytical thinking for mentally organizing, prioritizing, and compartmentalizing numerous thermal resources.

  • Strong collaboration facilitation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including comprehensive technical communication suitable for less technical audiences.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and its impact on daily prioritization.

  • Resilient, persistent, and solution oriented.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment

  • Up to 10% travel to other Enbridge offices/sites/field locations; may include short overnight business trips within Canada and to the U.S.; valid passport is required.
