Mackenzie Investments is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Manager, Finance (Planning & Analysis). Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will leverage advanced analytical tools and financial modeling techniques to provide strategic decision-making support for the multi-year forecast. Key responsibilities include:Lead the annual business planning process, monthly and quarterly forecasts and projectionsDevelop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting processes.Improve and streamline business planning processes and models: Continuously seek and implement ways to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Leverages qualitative and quantitative information to guide actions and make recommendations.Integrate key revenue and earnings factors into forecasts: Ensure all relevant financial factors are considered in collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.Collaborate with SP&A, Financial Reporting, and Technology teams on prioritiesPrepare materials for senior management and corporate review: Compile and present financial data and insights for executive decision-making.Deliver accurate and timely reports and analysis for decision-making: Ensure all reports and analyses are precise and provided on time to support management.Enhance, develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.Stay updated and aware on industry trends and monitor how market, technology, regulatory and competitive trends may affect the industry and the firmWork closely with Finance and operations personnel at all IGM companiesManage, mentor, and coach a team of 2 direct reports: Guide and develop team members to achieve their professional goals and enhance team performance. The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in carrying out these responsibilities:CPA or CFA designation preferred 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience within the financial services industryAdvanced financial and business modelling skills, including expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; PowerBI skills is an assetCommunicates effectively to a wide variety of audiences at all organizational levelsBuilds rapport and relationships with a variety of people, to exchange ideas and knowledgeIdentifies issues and acts without hesitation to develop practical and timely solutionsStrong knowledge of accounting, statistics and corporate finance and proven analytical and problem-solving skillsProactively problem solves and regularly identifies ways to improve their own work processes, and practicesStrong financial, diagnostic, and analytical skillsStrong planning and problem-solving skills.
