Key areas of focus include investment monitoring, oversight of derivatives and novel investments, development of compliance controls for new products, and substantial shareholder monitoring and reporting.  Key Responsibilities:Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in investment compliance.Monitor investment activities, including derivatives and novel investments, using Bloomberg rules to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, offering documents, and client guidelines.Work collaboratively with team members to provide compliance support for new products and establish appropriate monitoring processes.Prepare required regulatory filings and monitor aggregate holdings across entities to ensure accurate reporting, appropriate approvals, and adherence to takeover and ownership thresholds.Support the Director in managing and enhancing the investment compliance program, including maintenance of policies, procedures, monitoring, and testing.Provide information and analysis for management and board reporting, as well as for audit and regulatory reviews.Respond to inquiries from business partners with clear, practical compliance advice, including the rationale (“the why”) behind requirements.Collaborate with team members on team initiatives as needed.Qualifications:Minimum of two years of asset management experience, most recently in a compliance or a related function.Knowledge of investment compliance rules, including National Instrument 81-102 and the Ontario Securities Act, is an asset.Experience with Bloomberg CMGR and VMGR, or similar compliance monitoring and rule-coding systems, is an asset.Ability to exercise sound judgement when interpreting regulation and applying it to business scenarios.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and work effectively under deadlines.Completion of Canadian Securities Course and Derivatives Fundamentals is an asset.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.The expected annual base salary range for this role is $62,000 – $80,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location.
