What you will do:

Provide leadership, coaching, feedback, mentoring, and career development for direct reports.

Develop and implement work standards, policies, procedures, strategies, and processes to support the department and the company.

Responsible for the supervision and direction of the work of others to ensure the accurate and timely billing for all residential, commercial, industrial and/or non traditional customers.

Oversee the auditing of metering for large, industrial customers.

Manage adjustment requests from other departments, invoicing special accounts, and resolving billing issues.

Plans, monitors and evaluates billing processes to ensure consistency, maximization of efficiency, and improvement of customer service.

Work closely with other departments such as, but not limited to. Key Accounts, Measurement, Operations, Regulatory and Accounting.

Works closely with other key company departments to ensure the billing process is efficient and effective.
Who you are:
-
University degree. Equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

5 years of customer billing or related experience.
-
Knowledge of billing systems, rate schedules and impact on the company and customer billing processes.

Analytical and abstract thinking to improve billing processes.
-
Effective interpersonal skills which include the ability to build and support cohesive teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to influence all levels of employees including management, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal management involvement.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task, reviewing the work of the team and directing work across the billing organization.

Up to 25% of travel may be required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
