Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

The Manager, MLOps and Data Platforms is a technically skilled and operationally minded individual who supports the development environments for an AI/ML team and supports the containerization and hand-off of developed models to IT for use in production environments. This role will bridge the gap between model development and production readiness, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable deployment of models that support the Anti-Money Laundering Program.

Models requiring adaptation include highly targeted tabular AI models, focused on societally impactful predicate crimes such as trafficking of sex workers, child sexual exploitation, and fentanyl trafficking.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Support Production-Ready Models
  • Collaborate with model developers, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance with internal standards.
  • Containerize models created in multiple languages (primarily python) and ensure that resulting images are suitable for target deployment architecture.
  • Ensure that containerization of models does not change model outputs.
  • Ensure that containerized models pass mandatory security screening of images.
  • Create tests and logs suitable for ongoing model monitoring.
  • Platform & Infrastructure Management
  • Configure and maintain development servers and VMs to support evolving use cases.
  • Assist with user on-boarding for AML modelling teams.
  • Assist with resource management and monitoring for AML modelling infrastructure.
  • Ensure secure usage of infrastructure, including patching, logging, backups, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Use code to configure, provision, and modify machines on a sustainable basis.
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Serve as the primary operational support contact for AI model deployment issues.
  • Work with L1/L2 support teams and change boards to address model-specific requirements.
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance for EDL-R and GCP environments.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in AI/ML model deployment, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Slurm, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps best practices.
  • Experience with ‘dockerization’ of existing code is essential.
  • Ability to read, write, and debug Python is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux is essential.
  • Experience with GCP is an important asset.
  • Experience with HDFS is an important asset.

  • Experience establishing and debugging network connectivity is an asset.
  • Experience with Spark and Scala is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ethical AI practices.
  • Keen interest in technical advancements from AI to infrastructure.
  • Exposure to AML, fraud detection, or financial crime analytics is a plus.
  • Principles of data security, compliance, and operational risk in financial services is a plus.
  • Multiple languages, especially Spanish, is a plus.

What’s in it for you?
