We are looking for a Senior Manager of Development to join our Global Wealth Engineering team (GWE) – we develop and modernize technology that powers the Global Wealth Engineering business line. GWE consists of many departments with high-performing agile teams working closely to deliver, support, and maintain the many applications and ecosystems within Global Wealth.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Management and delivery for a portfolio of initiatives focused on Salesforce as a CRM, data integration/management and advisor solutions, ensuring that deliverables align with strategic priorities and drive Advisor efficiency.
- Help drive strategy to transform current platforms using new technologies and tools available that best support the business needs.
- Incorporate modern technologies and practices to improve production support efforts, reduce operational costs, and improve security, availability, and reliability of overall business systems.
- Responsible for the design, architecture, and successful implementation of effective and quality solutions that resolve highly complex business problems and support business needs.
- Ensure delivery meets the integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements by building automated testing and regression suites and using DevOps principles.
- Effectively manage a team of technical professionals by setting performance expectations, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance and coaching. This includes leading the recruitment of talent and building high-performing teams.
- Lead and drive a customer focused culture to influence a client-centered design culture and to deepen relationships with business stakeholders and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, processes and knowledge.
- The role requires interaction with business and technology leadership, consequently effective communications commensurate with the audience and the ability to promote an idea and gain consensus is critical.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 10+ years of software development experience with clear progression through the ranks, and 3+ years leading and building high-performance teams
- Software Engineering experience with Salesforce CRM, with a minimum of 1 recent project with a Financial Services Cloud environment
- 10+ years of working knowledge of Salesforce tools to execute and manage workflow processes at various stages of the SDLC cycle (e.g. Salesforce DX)
- Salesforce Certifications are required. Specifically: Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Integration Architect, Salesforce App Builder
- Previous Banking/Financial Services experience is critical
- Experiences in a technical role in an Agile environment
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale multi-year projects/program
- Ability to lead software development teams on tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders with an open mindset
- Ability to quickly adapt and build a deep technical knowledge of their team’s deliverable and operating model
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and be willing to lead by example
- Strong communication skills – will be speaking with Stakeholders, Business Partners, Operation Teams, and Developers (translating conversations into requirements)
- Solid understanding of wealth management concepts, and workflows.
