Job Description
MLSE Digital Labs is seeking a highly motivated Lead Integration Engineer to join the Digital Labs team. This role will focus on building and managing business-critical integrations and work closely with the Manager of Data Operations to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient integration solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Explore, design, and implement integration solutions using AWS Glue, Glue Data Catalog, Athena, and Lake Formation for data integration, cataloging, and query workflows.
- Build and manage real-time and batch integration workflows using AWS Lambda and containerized services in ECR and EKS.
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate and integrate alternative modern data tools when required.
- Develop and deploy data and application integration solutions using modern DevOps practices, primarily with Informatica Cloud IICS.
- Design and build robust data ingestion pipelines to ingest data from various sources, including APIs, databases, web services, files, and streaming platforms.
- Support and maintain existing integrations to ensure stability, performance, and reliability.
- Contribute to the team’s technical vision by identifying and implementing new tools and technologies that enhance scalability, security, and performance.
- Establish best practices, standards, and a department-wide body of knowledge on integration engineering.
- Provide technical leadership in solution design, including high-level planning, exploration of alternatives, and sizing estimates.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering growth and encouraging technical excellence.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Infrastructure, Data Analytics, and CRM to ensure seamless integration within the existing landscape.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies to deliver solutions on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience integrating data from business systems such as POS, ERP, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end integration projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Strong analytical mindset and eagerness to build both technical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and integration methodologies, with a passion for continuous learning.
- Solid understanding of software development practices, including SDLC, source control (GitHub), code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and release management.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Technical Qualifications:
- Proficiency with AWS Glue, Glue Data Catalog, Athena, and Lake Formation for data integration and transformation pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda for event-driven workflows and containerized workloads in EKS and ECR.
- Experience orchestrating workflows with tools like Prefect or Dagster.
- Experience with Informatica Cloud IICS, including Application Integration (CAI), Data Integration (CDI), and Mass Ingestion tools.
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns, web services, and technologies such as REST, SOAP, GraphQL, XML, and WebSocket.
- Hands-on experience with relational SQL databases like MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, Golang, or C#.
- Experience with real-time and batch integration methodologies.
- Working knowledge of messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with source control tools such as GitHub.
