Job Description
Position Overview
The Toronto Raptors Basketball club are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to support both the NBA team and its G League affiliate. This dual-role position is integral to optimizing player health, performance, and recovery. The successful candidate must be a team player and will be part of a multi-disciplinary medical and performance team that is highly collaborative both internally, and with coaches and front office.
Key Responsibilities
Player Care & Treatment
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal injuries for both NBA and G League athletes
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs tailored to each player’s needs
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and advanced recovery modalities
• Monitor player progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Develop and execute injury prevention strategies in collaboration with medical and performance team
• Conduct movement assessments and biomechanical screenings
• Assist with load management strategies and return-to-play protocols
• In -season and off-season care of players
Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with health and performance team which includes: team physicians, athletic trainers, physiotherapists, massage therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, dietician, and sports science.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding player care within medical team
• Document all treatments and maintain accurate medical records
G League Integration
• Support the development of 2-way and assignment players
• Ensure consistency in treatment philosophy and standards across both teams
• Assist in transitioning players between G League and NBA levels seamlessly
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors, Master’s or Doctorate in physiotherapy from an accredited institution
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Ontario
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
• Strong expertise in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation
• Experience with return-to-play protocols and performance integration
• Valid Passport and able to cross the border
Preferred Qualifications
• Acupuncture or Dry needling
• CSCS or equivalent
• FCAMPT or equivalent
• RISPT or equivalent

• Exceptional clinical reasoning and hands-on treatment skills
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism
• Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
