POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

IG Wealth Management is seeking a Manager, Marketing Compliance to join a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and growing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Compliance, this role plays a critical role within the IG HNW Brand Strategy & Client Experience Marketing team by supporting corporate and advisor marketing initiatives and acting as a marketing compliance signing officer for advisor-led activities. 

 

This role is ideal for a highly motivated compliance and marketing professional who brings a strong understanding of Canadian financial services regulations, brand governance, and modern marketing practices. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted compliance partner and brand ambassador, helping ensure all advisor and corporate marketing materials align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and IG’s brand standards across print, digital, web, social media, and video channels. 

 

The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and relationship management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment while effectively managing competing priorities and timelines. This individual will also bring an innovative mindset, continuously identifying new ways of working, improving processes, and leveraging emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency, consistency, and risk management within marketing compliance. 

 

Industry experience within Canadian financial services, particularly in marketing compliance and the review and approval of marketing and advertising content, is considered a significant asset. 

 

This position is based in either Toronto, Winnipeg or Montreal and follows a hybrid work arrangement. 

 

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE: 

 

  • Manage intake, prioritization, review, and approval of Advisor and corporate marketing and advertising materials across print, digital, web, social media, video, and email channels, ensuring alignment with CIRO requirements, regulatory obligations, IG brand standards, and internal policies. 

  • Act as a Marketing Compliance signing officer for advisor-led initiatives, applying sound regulatory judgement, risk assessment, and consistent governance practices. 

  • Serve as a trusted compliance partner and brand ambassador by providing practical, solution-oriented guidance to Advisors and internal stakeholders on marketing compliance, advertising standards, social media practices, and brand governance. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Compliance, Brand, Privacy, Digital Marketing, and Communications to support reviews, escalations, approvals, and risk mitigation activities. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, streamline processes, and introduce innovative ways of working, including the use of AI and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, consistency, and governance within marketing compliance. 

  • Monitor and assess evolving marketing trends, digital platforms, and social/video content practices to support compliant and effective marketing strategies. 

  • Investigate and resolve unapproved sales communication cases, maintain marketing compliance documentation and governance materials, and support ongoing audit readiness and operational excellence. 

  • Support enterprise brand initiatives, strategic projects, and other marketing compliance activities as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • 3–5+ years of experience in marketing compliance, advertising review, marketing governance, or compliance-related roles, preferably within the Canadian financial services or securities industry.  

  • Experience reviewing and approving client-facing marketing materials across print, digital, social media, video, and web channels within a regulated environment.  

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with a registered dealer member within the securities industry.  

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.  

  • Successfully completed the CIRO Supervisor’s Exam and/or currently registered as a supervisor with CIRO for the approval of sales and marketing communications, or willing to complete requirements within the first 6 months of employment.  

  • Strong understanding of marketing compliance, brand governance, advertising standards, and regulatory requirements.  

  • Innovative and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and new ways of working.  

  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, social media platforms, video review tools, and Gen AI technologies.  

  • French language skills are considered an asset. 

 

 

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $77,500 – $94,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
