We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will offer electrical technical support for Northwest Region Operations, focusing on the safe, reliable operation of Enbridge Gas Transmission Midstream (GTM) electrical assets. If you are an Electrical Engineer with direct field experience supporting electrical assets in the gathering, processing, or delivery of natural gas this position provides an opportunity to collaborate with other technical specialists, bringing a strong Electrical Engineering foundation and power industry experience. What You Will Do:

Efficiently supply technical aid to field operations and personnel in relation to relevant code, processes, standards, and guidelines.

Support or lead technical operations accountabilities such as preparing and approving work packages for engineering modifications, audits, reliability support, investigations, process improvements, and technical reviews.

Provide technical support in emergency response situations and efforts.

Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions for equipment and process reliability issues and evaluate risks to prioritize project funding for optimal safety, integrity, and reliability impact.

Routinely connect with industry peers, vendors, manufacturers, project managers, and regional interested parties fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Who You Are:
-
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
-
Are a registered member, as a Professional Engineer, with APEGA in the province of Alberta or with EGBC in the province of British Columbia.
-
You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering and power systems.

Knowledge and in depth understanding of control systems, electrical transmission, high voltage systems, natural gas power generation, and UPS systems.

Proven experience with large industrial power systems (substation, large electric motor drives, variable frequency drives, and associated switchgear).

You are committed to safety and quality, with a collaborative approach valuing different perspectives and experiences to drive innovation and excellence.

You will undergo various background screenings that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical.
Working Conditions:

An Office based position with large amounts of field time to support and understand Area Operations needs.
-
May spend time in the field as required to support projects or area operations (approx. travel time, up to 35%).

Extreme climate exposure risk in field.

Long duration driving with dynamic road conditions to reach field locations.
