Contributes to the overall success of the Learning Operations Team goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. 

  

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. 
  • Attend project meetings with Learning Advisors/Learning Project Management team to provide optimal/customized solutions to meet the needs of their customers/Business Lines. 
  • Act as a Producer for virtual ILT workshops, supporting Learning COE and HR Services (Change Management) – Facilitation teams/Learning Advisors with workshop logistics/technology issues, virtual tools, participant engagement and time management. 
  • Supports the Global Mandatory Learning Programs by sending follow up communications to employee and people managers during closing of window. 
  • Administration, investigation, and resolution of stakeholder/learner inquiries received through the Training Support inbox. 
  • Supports requests for ILT/vILT learning events/classes from Learning COE and Business Line Learning teams received through Workfront. 
  • Supports the set-up and maintenance of Instructor Led courses and Scheduled Offerings on the Learning Management System. 
  • Sets up and maintains training locations and instructor profiles on the Learning Management System. 
  • Completes LMS tasks related to enrollment, registration/cancellation and marking completions of ILT/VILT classes. 
  • Researches and responds to day-to-day case management inquiries received through askHR (Pega) for Instructor-led Programs within SLA. 
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. 
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Adult Learning or Business or pursuing related field 
  • Previous experience coordinating, producing, and overseeing instructor led (in person & virtual) training preferred 
  • Understanding of tools related to Skype for Business & MS Teams 
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures 
  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
