About the role:

 

As a Practice Management Consultant, you are a member of Scotia Securities Inc. focused on providing practice management and product strategy support to a territory of  a Financial Planner on the Scotia Financial Planning Team.  In this role your primary responsibility will be to consult with Investment Specialists, improving skills and implementing industry best practices to improve employee experience, quality of advice, and drive incremental AUM growth.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Be the designated subject matter expert for practice management, and the Scotia Financial Planning Team’s product strategy supporting a territory of Financial Planners.
  • Be results-driven by taking a proactive approach to discover Financial Planner’s needs, listening to understand, identify Financial Planner skill gaps and delivering value to their business.
  • Conduct consultations and facilitate skill builds with Financial Planners of varying tenure supporting their knowledge of financial markets, investment fundamentals inc. tools and mutual fund solutions.
  • Act as the key conduit between Financial Planners and the channel’s dedicated wholesale support.
  • Share insights and observations collected while interacting with Financial Planners with the Director, National Lead to assist with ongoing strategic implementations.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach with Financial Planners to support complex customer acquisition/retention strategies.
  • Be highly engaged with Regional Managers and Regional Vice President collaborating to ensure territory coverage delivers on business leadership needs.
  • Refine and execute a focused business plan/segmentation model in the pursuit of incremental AUM growth
  • Work collaboratively with business line partners (Inside Sales, Product, Dealer, and communication) to provide two-way insights into business needs.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Proven ability to deliver customer centric business growth
  • A minimum five years’ experience in the distribution of long-term investment solutions
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in financial planning, investment distribution.
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to influence constructive customers outcomes without line leadership authority
