Job Description

As part of the MLSE VIP Experience and Commercialization team, you will have the unique opportunity to support the team on a day-to-day basis with a wide range of initiatives and have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience across (7) Brands (TML, TR, TFC, ARGOS, LIVE, Marlies, Raps905) and (4) Different venues – (Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field, RBC Amphitheatre, Coca-Cola Coliseum). 

MLSE’s Internship term dates are from May 4, 2026 – August 28, 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support with strategic planning of experiences to support retention strategies, generate new revenue streams, and deliver exceptional member experiences.

  • Execute extensive research of VIP Hospitality, VIP engagement, innovative solutions and best practices across leagues to inform future membership services and retention strategies.  

  • Support data management initiatives to maintain data integrity on our VIP & Premium Membership bases. 

  • Complete monthly calculations and reconciliations for key accounts

  • Collaborate across multiple internal departments to coordinate on court experiences

  • Deliver enhanced premium seating experience 

  • Perform daily multi-department needs in relation to VIP members, satisfaction, and account servicing

  • Provide assistance to high profile customers in order to elevate their overall experience  

  • Keep team aligned with important dates across all lines of business daily  

  • Adhere to all MLSE standards and policies.

  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

  • Support the process of identifying untapped revenue opportunities with commercial potential, by developing new & innovative products, programs, and experiences to meet unmet season seat holder needs, support retention and support enterprise profitability

  • Create marketing materials that communicate the benefits of our products and program offer that drive deep emotional connections to our season seat members

  • Develop a deep understanding of our season seat member base needs and competitive environment to ensure sell through of product offerings

  • Keep a pulse on industry trends around customer experience to re-imagine our Membership benefits model

  • Support in the development of launch plans, pitch decks, project schedules, and manage cross functional implementation, supervising progress activities to ensure functional team members are meeting agreed upon deadlines

  • Collaborate with external content creators to develop outstanding products and assets to develop unique season seat member product offerings

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring projects stay on schedule and to budget, by applying strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

  • Support onsite service of all commercial initiative launches, programming, including set up, gifting, event logistics

  • Responsible for postmortem commercial & VIP initiative assessment materials to help measure effectiveness of program/product launches, key findings, and reporting metrics

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a University or College degree, diploma or certificate in sports, events, marketing, public relations, or related field.  

  • A proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands, demonstrating a high level of initiative, independence, and attention to detail.

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently. 

  • Available for TML, TR, TFC, ARGOS, Marlies, Raps905 and LIVE home games and special events, including evenings & weekends. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Willingness to be always a team player.

  • Strong leadership skills and problem-solving skills. 

  • Effective communicator that can clearly convey information.

  • Self-motivated, detailed and organized.

  • Excellent time management skills and able to meet multiple deadlines.  

  • Always maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook an asset
